How to add your link to your YouTube channel

Good to know. YouTube’s help center says a channel can show up to 14 links, and every link has to follow YouTube’s external links policy.

  1. Build your page

Claim your handle and add the links you want viewers to have. Your page will live at yourname.hydlnk.com.

  2. Open your channel profile

Sign in to YouTube Studio and choose Customization, then Profile.

  3. Add the link

Under Links, select Add link, enter a title and paste your HYDLNK address.

  4. Publish

Select Publish. Your first link gets the most prominent spot, near the subscribe button, so put your HYDLNK page first.

  5. Use it in descriptions too

Paste the same address near the top of your video descriptions. When your links change, the description stays right.

Why HYDLNK

Why YouTube channels use HYDLNK

  • Play your videos on the page

An Embed block shows a YouTube video right on your page. It loads only when someone presses play, so the page stays quick.

  • Update once, not in every description

Move a link, rename it or add a new sponsor on your HYDLNK page, and every description and channel link that points to it is already current.

  • Know which links get tapped

Each link has its own click count, so you can see whether the merch or the membership link is working. Pro adds a year of history with referrers, devices and countries.

  • Match your channel’s look

Use your channel colors and fonts, or a background image from your banner, so the page feels like part of the channel.

What goes on it

Questions

Short answers for YouTube users. Prices and plan limits are on the pricing page.

How many links can a YouTube channel have?

YouTube’s help center says up to 14 on your channel’s Home tab, with the first one shown near the subscribe button. Every link has to follow YouTube’s external links policy.

Should I link my page in every video description?

It’s the easiest way to keep descriptions current. Put one address near the top of each description, then change what’s behind it as your sponsors, merch and offers change.

Can I show my videos on my HYDLNK page?

Yes, with the Embed block. YouTube videos load only when a visitor presses play. The Embed block plays YouTube videos and Spotify; other video sites go in as link buttons.

Is the free plan enough for a channel?

For most channels, yes. Free gives you one page with every block and the full set of design choices. Pro adds your own domain, three pages and the removal of the “Made with HYDLNK” badge.
